The cross hair cursor can help to read the price and date values on a price chart. Once enabled, as shown in the sample screen shot at right, the tip of the mouse cursor shows the crossing of a vertical line and a horizontal line across the chart. The horizontal line shows the price value at the right hand end (on the price axis, and is 39.94 in this example), and the vertical line shows the date at the bottom (on the time axis, and is 17/08/2022 in this example).

Three ways to show/hide the cross hair cursor

There are three ways to show the cross hair cursor as follows:

The toolbar button – Use the toolbar button that is normally located near the top right corner of your BullCharts window (as shown in the screen shot at right). This will toggle the cursor on and off.

Menu option – Use the menu option: View > Crosshair.

Shortcut keys – Use the shortcut keys as indicated in the menu option described in the
previous paragraph: Ctrl+ Shift+X .
