NewsDesk – Enhanced with AI

NewsDesk – Using Artificial Intelligence

The BullCharts NewsDesk feature has been available for some time, and is described in the KB article: https://kb.bullcharts.com.au/knowledge-base/chapter-20-newsdesk/. The BullCharts NewsDesk feature lists all of the official company news announcements in chronological order, and offers a search option, and also a filter for news ‘Category’.

One of the problems with many of these news items is that they can be very long, and they can be rather tedious reading. Some news items are only one or two pages long, but they can be as many as 30 pages, or even over 100 pages in length. The NewsDesk feature has been enhanced to help address this, and distil the news down to a few bullet points.

In June 2026 the NewsDesk feature was enhanced by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate a very brief summary of each of the news announcements, and also a more detailed summary of each item. This enables the user to more quickly browse through each of the news items without opening up and perusing the full announcement – a great time saving.

The AI-enhanced NewsDesk

The screenshot below shows the appearance of the AI-enhanced NewsDesk feature. Note that most of the information on the screen is the same as in the standard NewsDesk, except that it looks more modern, and there is now a small green triangle adjacent to the Headline column of information. In this example, the green triangle in the third row of the announcements has been clicked, to show “Highlights” of the announcement. And there is also a large button to “Read Full Analysis Report”.

If you click on this “Read Full Analysis Report” button, then a new window panel will open with the AI-generated detailed summary analysis of the report, as shown in the next screen shot.

Accessing the AI-enhanced NewsDesk

To access this AI-enhanced NewsDesk, open the regular NewsDesk (using the toolbar button, or the menu options, as shown in the screenshot below) and scroll to the bottom of the window to see the “Go To NewsDesk V2 Beta” button as shown in the next screenshot below.
